Severe storms can cause hidden damage that homeowners may not notice right away.
Today we found a burned A/C capacitor after the recent storms β€” the temperature inside the home had already reached 89Β°F, and summer hasn’t even started yet.

Power surges, lightning, and outages can affect A/C systems, appliances, elevators, internet equipment, and more while homes sit empty. That’s why regular property checks after severe weather are so important.

At My Home Watch, we check your property after storms, look for issues early, and coordinate repairs before small problems become bigger ones. π‘΄π’š π‘―π’π’Žπ’† 𝑾𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉 π’ˆπ’Šπ’—π’†π’” π’Žπ’š π’„π’π’Šπ’†π’π’• 𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 π’Žπ’Šπ’π’… π’ƒπ’š π’‘π’“π’π’—π’Šπ’…π’Šπ’π’ˆ 𝒂 π’˜π’†π’†π’Œπ’π’š π’Šπ’π’”π’‘π’†π’„π’•π’Šπ’π’ 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 π’‰π’π’Žπ’† π’˜π’Šπ’•π’‰ 𝒂𝒏 𝑰𝑴𝑴𝑬𝑫𝑰𝑨𝑻𝑬 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒆 𝒕𝒐 π’‚π’π’š π’Šπ’”π’”π’–π’† 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 π’Žπ’‚π’š π’‚π’“π’Šπ’”π’†.

Stage 3 Water Restrictions in Nueces County

Nueces County is now under Stage 3 water restrictions due to severe drought conditions. These restrictions aim to conserve water and ensure essential needs are met. Key points include:

No Outdoor Watering: All forms of outdoor irrigation are prohibited, including sprinklers, drip systems, and handheld hoses.
No At-Home Car Washing: Washing vehicles, boats, or trailers at home is not allowed.
Fountains Limited: Fountains can only operate for necessary equipment maintenance.
Fines of up to $500 per violation per day will begin in January 2025. For more details on these restrictions, visit the City of Corpus Christi’s official website: cctexas.com

As part of our home watch services, we’ll ensure your property complies with these regulations, such as monitoring irrigation systems and addressing any water-related concerns.

Let’s work together to protect your property while conserving water. Reach out with any questions or special requests!

Hurricane Beryl Update: Increased Threat for Texas Gulf Coast

Date: July 5, 7 AM.

Hurricane Beryl Update: Increased Threat for Texas Gulf Coast
Date: July 5, 7 AM
From Alan Holt, our local meteorologist:

Current Status: Beryl has made landfall over the YucatΓ‘n Peninsula, maintaining Category 2 status with 100 mph winds.
Forecasted Path: The storm’s northward shift in the Gulf could lead to further strengthening.
Impact on Texas Gulf Coast:
Pinpointing landfall is challenging due to Beryl’s parallel approach to the coastline.
Slight path changes could result in different landfall locations.
Landfall is likely on Monday morning, with timing dependent on the storm’s northward position.

Preparation:
Our team will head out tomorrow to prepare clients’ houses.
Stay informed as the forecast can change rapidly.
Stay safe and prepared. More updates to follow.

After the recent coastal flood, our beautiful beach has revealed an ugly truth: the sheer amount of trash left behind by us. It’s heartbreaking to see our natural paradise turned into a dumping groundπŸ₯²
This serves as a powerful reminder of the impact we have on our environment. Every piece of trash tells a story of neglect, but it also gives us an opportunity to change.
Let’s all do our part:
* Reduce our waste
* Reuse what we can
* Recycle responsibly
Together, we can make a difference and restore the pristine beauty of our beaches.
