Look at the edges. A bold trim down the front of the drapery and across the valance is what takes simple panels from nice to custom. Most people don’t know it’s an option. It is, and it’s one of the easiest ways to make your windows the finishing piece of the room.

Project Spotlight: Ladera Amenity Center

We recently completed a project at the Ladera Amenity Center, and it’s one of our favorites this year.

The owner wanted solar shades for the community room and fitness room. The shades cut heat and glare and protect the furniture and flooring from UV fading, while residents can still see through them to the pool, patios, and open landscape. Their design team is based out of state, so we sent fabric samples to their design center. That way the designers could choose the colors and styles that fit the space. The result is clean and streamlined, and it complements the warm, modern look of the building.

The wellness room needed the opposite. For massage and relaxation, they wanted a calm, dark space, so we installed a blackout shade that blocks outside light completely.

Thank you to the Ladera team for trusting us with this beautiful space. Whether you’re a homeowner or managing a commercial property, we’re happy to help you find the right solution. Call us for a free consultation.

Fabric is where a window treatment gets its personality. Embroidered florals, block-print stripes, soft ikats, tape trims and tassel fringe can turn a simple drapery panel or Roman shade into the finished piece a room has been missing.

We work with a wide range of designer fabrics and trims for custom drapery, Roman shades, valances and pillows. If you’ve been staring at bare windows or tired curtains, let’s pull some samples together in your own light.

Complimentary in-home consultations across Denton County and North DFW.

Motorized honeycomb shade over a garden tub in Lewisville. Hard-to-reach windows like this one are exactly where motorization pays off: no leaning over the tub to pull a cord. We notched the bottom of the shade around the tile ledge for a tight custom fit, and it recharges with a wand about once a year. Privacy without giving up the natural light.
