Harvested our Peaches and Cream sweet corn (planted late and thankful for our long growing season), spaghetti squash, a few pie pumpkins, and two types of gourds. Both of the gourds were volunteer plants that went crazy! Zucchini and cucumbers are done for the year. Grateful for the abundance of both!

Harvest season is bittersweet. Grateful for our bounty, but sad the season is coming to an end. We were able to preserve a lot of our harvest this year. We should almost make it to harvest next year with what we were able to put back. That’s always been the goal!

The greenhouse still has a long growing season ahead. Hopeful to be able to preserve majority of that harvest as well 🌱❤️

Our first year with a successful watermelon 🍉 crop! We harvested them today. Smallest was 11 lbs. The majority of them were over 20 lbs. Our largest one was 23 lbs.!! We’ll cut one open tomorrow to see how it looks!

We’ve been busy the past month! We built a new coop and run for the Silkies, tripled the run space for the rest of the chickens by enclosing two new areas for them, transplanted blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries to make room for the new run space, built a new raised bed to transplant the strawberries into, turned and topped off all of the raised beds in the greenhouse, and planted the greenhouse 🥵 Spring is in full swing on the farm!
