A client asked if we could relocate their showerhead and replace the trims on a couple showers.

We said, “Absolutely.”

We relocated the plumbing, replaced the old tile, then cut, patched, textured, and painted the access hole in the closet—and it turned out amazing.

One call. One crew. The whole job handled.

When we get a call from one of our restoration partners saying:

“We’ve got an unoccupied commercial building with a MAJOR water leak.”

We understand the urgency.

This one was a good-sized restaurant in the Houston area that had been sitting vacant for a while.

Apparently, somebody decided the copper was part of the takeout menu. 🤦‍♂️

And they didn’t just grab a little.

They STRIPPED the place.

They even tried stealing the 2½-inch ball valve on the building’s main water service.

That went about as well as you’d expect. 💦😂

Calls like this sometimes mean rearranging the schedule and getting boots on the ground.

We got down to Houston, got the water shut down, stopped the damage, and put eyes on the entire situation.

Now when it’s time to put this building back together, we already know exactly what we’re walking into.

That’s the advantage of having a plumber who understands the restoration side too.

We The Plumbers — when it’s hitting the fan, we understand that tomorrow isn’t always good enough.

We know the bar shouldn’t be this low, but here we are. 😂

Answer the phone.

Clean up when you’re done.

Customer hit us with the classic:

“Hey, while you’re here… can you swap this tub spout real quick?”

Sure. Should be a five-minute job. 😂

Tub spouts are pretty simple. They either thread on or have a set screw underneath.

This one?

We turned it.
And turned it.
And turned it some more.

Finally had to cut the damn thing off to find out what kind of sorcery was happening behind the wall.

A SHARKBITE.

The original installer used a SharkBite fitting to install the tub spout. 🤦‍♂️

Instead of a quick tub-spout swap, the customer ended up needing a new trim setup and some plumbing repair.

Don’t get us wrong — SharkBites have their place.

THIS AIN’T IT. 😂

Sometimes the smallest “while you’re here” job turns into an archaeological dig.

If you see a tradesman driving around like this…

It’s not because we think we’re buff.
It’s not because we’re trying to look cool.
And we definitely don’t think we’re king of the hill.

It’s 100 damn degrees outside, we just crawled out of somebody’s attic, and we’re trying to AIR OUT THE PITS before walking into the next customer’s house. 😂

This ain’t a pose.

This is HVAC for tradesmen. 😂💨

Today is about a whole lot more than lunch.

The crew at We The Plumbers is honored to cook for and support Family Promise and the incredible work they do helping families in our community when they need it most.

We started early—5 AM, cooking under the moonlight—but when you know who you’re cooking for, getting out of bed is the easy part.

Pulled pork, chicken thighs, smoked beans, pineapple coleslaw—and a whole lot of love going into every plate.

We spend most of our days fixing pipes, stopping leaks, and taking care of homes. But being part of a community means doing more than business in it. It means showing up for the people who call it home.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve today.

From all of us at We The Plumbers—thank you, Family Promise, for everything you do for families in our community. ❤️🇺🇸

🐷 9 pork butts — 78 lbs before the cook, and every single one turned out awesome.

🔥 Beans will be ready tonight.
🥗 Coleslaw dressing is done.
🍗 Tomorrow morning we’re firing it back up for 60 lbs of chicken thighs.

A whole lot of cooking, a whole lot of smoke, and hopefully a whole lot of happy people tomorrow.

We The Plumbers doesn’t just bring the heat to your plumbing… apparently we bring it to the BBQ too. 😂🔥
