At the end of the day, your team should be focused on getting projects done; not chasing delays, fixing rework, coordinating oversized loads, or worrying about whether your equipment will hold up in the field.

That's why we build differently.

Core-X Steel modular skid systems are engineered to simplify deployment, reduce rework, improve safety, and stand up to the demands of everyday use. Less time solving problems means more time moving your projects forward.

Stress less. Build more. We'll handle the steel.

Provide. Simplify. Deliver. It's what we do.

We're proud to call Commerce City home.

A big thank you to Commerce City Economic Development for the warm welcome and for sharing our story! Commerce City has been our home since day one, and we're grateful to be part of a community that supports local manufacturing and small business growth.

From our beginnings building custom container projects to growing into a 10,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility focused on custom steel fabrication, modular steel skids, equipment bases, and equipment housing, we're excited to continue investing in our team, our community, and the industries we serve throughout Colorado and beyond.

Here's to continued growth, strong partnerships, and building what's next.

We have had customers that are so buried in fabrication work it was hard to move their own products forward. That's where we come in.

We design, engineer, and build skids and equipment bases so you can focus on what you do best.

No more juggling fabricators. No more bottlenecks. Just one team handling the base, start to finish.

Two years ago we were building in a quonset out of a dirt lot. Today we're in a 10,000 sq ft facility because businesses trust us to deliver.

Drop a "STEEL" in the comments if you need steel solutions that make your job easier.

We hope everyone had a fun, safe, and memorable 4th of July 🇺🇸

As a Veteran and First Responder owned business, we understand both the pride of celebrating our country and the responsibility of looking out for the people who make up our communities.

We are proud to be a small piece of the American story: built on hard work, teamwork, innovation, and the belief that our strength comes from the many different people who call this country home.

From all of us at Core-X Steel, we hope you had a happy 4th of July! Stay safe, take care of each other, and enjoy the long weekend. 🇺🇸

Here we go again! Next up in our meet the team series is the other Core-X Steel founder, owner, and the COO. The one and only Ross Riley. Let's see what he has to say:

What do you do at Core-X Steel?  I'm the old hippie who pushes a broom around the shop.  I am one of the founders of Core-X and am currently the Chief Operating Officer.  My role includes supervising the shop operations, jumping in and welding when needed and painting our completed projects.

How long have you been doing this work?
Hippie: since September 30, 2023. I started welding as a kid on a logging crew in Washington State.  I set it aside for many years while I was a single dad raising my daughter and serving as a firefighter paramedic.  I picked welding back up during the COVID shutdown as a way to keep my mind and body active.  I retired from the fire service after about 40 years, got bored pretty quickly so I started a very small (me, a welder and a 20' container) welding repair business.  From those humble beginnings this has grown exponentially into the bustling business we now enjoy.

What are you most excited about at Core-X?
Seeing this enterprise blossom and grow and the opportunities on the horizon we haven't even begun to imagine.  Someday I'll retire again, but for now this is fun, challenging and no two days are ever the same. I'm excited about building this legacy alongside some really great people, especially my business partner and bestie Brian.

Funnest project to date has to be the Jack Shack at Ford Amphitheater

Thanks Ross!

Next up in our series is our shop foreman Tomas! Let's see what he has to say.

What do you do for Core-X?

I am a shop foreman and project manager. I ensure our projects finish on time by implementing team work, communication, safe procedures and quality standards.

How long have you been doing this type of job?

I have been doing this for approximately five years. I started as a laborer doing the most basic tasks and worked my way up.

What are you excited about at Core-X ?

One of the things that excites me the most is the variety of projects we get to work on. I am always ready to take on new challenges and learn new ways to get the job done.

Fun Fact / Outside of Work

I graduated high school when I was 17. One of my hobbies is playing soccer with my cousins and my favorite thing to do is take family trips. My personality is quite unique; I like all kinds of music, and I also enjoy reading history articles. Time flies, and since we are only here once, be grateful.

First up in our series is our CEO, one of our founders and a USMC Veteran, Brian.
Here's what he had to say:

What do you do for Core-X?
I am one of the owners of Core-X and oversee business development, sales, customer relationships, strategic growth, and overall company operations. My primary focus is bringing in new opportunities, developing partnerships, and helping guide the long-term vision of the company while supporting our team and customers.

How long have you been doing this type of job?
I have spent over a decade in business development, sales, project management, and entrepreneurship. Throughout my career, I have worked in industrial manufacturing, construction, and custom fabrication industries, helping companies grow and develop solutions for their customers.

What are you excited about at Core-X?
What excites me most is building something from the ground up and creating opportunities for our employees, customers, and partners. We are not just building steel and containers—we are creating innovative solutions that solve real-world problems. I believe Core-X has the potential to become a leader in modular systems, industrial fabrication, and engineered deployment solutions, and I am excited to be part of that journey.

Fun Fact / Outside of Work
I served as an Infantry Marine and learned many of the leadership, discipline, and problem-solving skills that I still use every day in business. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, building businesses, and taking on projects that challenge conventional ways of thinking. One thing people quickly learn about me is that I am always looking for a better, more efficient way to solve a problem.

Thanks Brian! Stay tuned for our next team member intro coming soon.
