3C Woodworking (Chipps - Custom - Creations) is an opportunity to merge my love for woodworking and crafting quality handmade made products with an audience that may be interested in having quality handmade products created. My projects do not leave my shop until I feel they meet my internal standard of quality, which is quite high. A project built by 3C may take a bit longer and cost a bit more,

however know that what you receive will meet and hopefully exceed your expectations. Whether it is furniture, barn doors, custom cabinet, built ins for your home and pretty much anything else you can dream up. All items are built in my home woodshop, right here in Pickerington. All wood is purchased from a small business in Johnstown from felled trees. Stop paying for cheap, low cost wood products made in China and support the little guy in your community.

Giving these wonderful custom doors their own spotlight post. Closet doors are usually an afterthought. Hollow slabs either stained or painted that slide back and forth to hide the clutter behind them. These doors were meant to be an architectural feature of the home as they are one of the first things you see as you enter this home. Handmade slatted design with hardwood rails and stiles. Each groove was stained ebony to provide contrast with the brown stain color of the “slats”. Light recesses were routed in as hand pulls. We didn’t want any type of handle attracting your attention. Just clean lines and craftsmanship. The pictures provided a nice walkthrough of the process for creating them. Enjoy!

A LOT of pictures in this post, because it deserves to be showed off. This wonderful family wanted a closet makeover. They moved to Worthington 5 years ago and had to walk by their old closet everyday, always wanting something more their style. However the home had more pressing needs, so the closet had to wait. Well, the closet finally got its day in the sun. Me and Natassja Designs came up with this design to make the inside more functional and the outside to be a show stopper with custom, handmade doors. I might be biased, but these could be the nicest closet doors this side of Buckingham Palace. Extra credit if you make it to picture 31, it is the true “before” picture.

If you think I did a great job, please share this post to your timeline. It helps a great deal for a small business like mine.

This is a dining room in transition here in Pickerington. My part was to remove the dated chair rail and replace it with a more traditional chair rail and picture frame molding accents. Eventually the room will receive wallpaper above the rail and the lower portion will be painted a solid color. Excited to see it when it is finished.

This was a quick 2 day project that adds so much character to a space. I can do the painting or let the client add some sweat equity.

Let’s chat about adding some character to your home!

Yesterday was a fun day! Took a break from the normal grind and helped with a Career Day event.

Getting to speak to the kids about my “job” was quite rewarding. Big highlight was watching them ohh and ahh about some of the tools I brought (they really like the laser levels) and a 12” saw blade, lol. They asked some great questions and we had some fun.

My girls went to this school a few years ago. I can see the school from my front porch. When I say I am a local business, it isn’t just a catch phrase.

Highlighting a great room accent wall from one of my favorite clients. Here is a home in Fox Glen (Pickerington) that has a wonderful great room. Sometimes the drawback of those huge rooms is you have huge swatches of blank walls. This type of “picture frame” molding is a great option because it doesn’t affect any existing trim (baseboards), there are multiple profile options, it goes up pretty quickly to save in labor costs, etc. This was a project I painted as well as installing the trim work. Have a room/wall that needs spruced up? I offer free estimates and in-home design consultations to make sure your exact vision can become reality.

PRICE DROP $175! 1 board left - I had some leftover material from our kitchen table build. So I decided to build some edge grain walnut cutting boards. These are big boards, perfect for a slab of ribs, brisket, or a full charcuterie display. Board size of 24” long x 19” deep and a full 1.5” thick. They are doubled sided with juice grooves on both sides and recesses for easy handling. Overnight oil bath in Walrus Oil brand sealer to help seal the wood. Absolutely beautiful boards that are made to be used or displayed. I have 3 of them available. Price is $200 each which is very reasonable for walnut boards in this size and thickness. Let me know if interested.

So happy with how these spaces turned out once the final painting was done. Client picked a great accent color to help add some warmth to these spaces. Perfect complement color for the trim work we installed! This was a project for some friends in Meadowmore Reserve in Pickerington. Love being able to work locally and for great clients!
