Sales & Project Consultant

Capitol Fence is a trusted, family-owned fence company serving Central Ohio. We are looking for a dependable and motivated Sales & Project Consultant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, solving problems, and helping customers improve their homes and properties.
Whether you have previous fence experience or a background in construction, carpentry, sales, or customer service skills; we are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
Responsibilities
• Travel too and meet with customers throughout the Columbus and surrounding area
• Measure projects and gather job information on-site
• Prepare fence estimates and proposals
• Build relationships with customers and provide exceptional service
• Follow up on leads and assist customers through the sales process
• Manage projects sold as needed, coordinating with office staff and installation teams to ensure project success
• Assist with social media content and online customer engagement
• Serve as back up to office staff; answering phones, scheduling quotes, etc…
Qualifications
• Familiar with and able to utilize Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, AI, and other products.
• Basic awareness of construction, carpentry, fencing, home improvement, or related trades is preferred.
• Ability to learn new products, software, and sales techniques
• Strong communication and people skills
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Self motivated, trustworthy, and dependable
• Comfortable working independently and managing a schedule
• Experience with social media platforms is a plus
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Schedule & Hours
• Flexible and negotiable scheduling.
• Full-time hours are typically available during spring, summer, and fall.
• Winter hours are flexible and may vary based on workload and employee preference. Open to discussing fulltime during winter season.
• Some evening and weekend appointments may be required to accommodate customer schedules.
