It is a bittersweet season of life. After several years in beautiful Kentucky, I am relocating back to my hometown of Columbus, OH. I’m leaving the bluegrass feeling grateful for all those I met and had the pleasure to work with.

Here is an install from 2018, that just keeps getting better every year! The ‘Otto luyken’ laurels bloomed first. The brunnera are in bloom now, next will be astilbe then lavender and hydrangeas and finally the hostas with some beautiful ‘Karl forester’ reed grass. The witch hazel offers winter interest. The two varieties of nandina give year long color and texture.

I love how the hostas and ferns are filling the wall.

Front install from a couple years ago has really matured nicely!
I had designed it to have bloom after bloom after bloom with some pink muhly grass to top it off in the fall.

Our Story

Atlas Landscapes was founded as a landscape design, installation and maintainance company fueled by the the passion of our founder, Jeff Boll. This passion for beautiful landscaping and gardens is complimented by the idea of creating hospitable and sustainable outdoor living spaces for all to enjoy. Jeff began his career as a student of agriculture in Ohio State University’s Turfgrass Science program. From there he went on to work on two MLB fields, two major university’s grounds, and two championship golf courses. After years of visiting the beautiful bluegrass state, Jeff and his family made the move to Lexington in search of greener pastures to take care of! While providing clients with the a customized landscaped yard is his goal, he is first and foremost concerned with providing a customer service that puts his clients at ease knowing they can trust his work and character.
