Always be mindful that water intrusion into your electric panel creates hazardous conditions. Sometimes the water and moisture can even enter your panel from exterior wiring that has a degraded sheathing or outer covering. Yearly reminder of updating aged pushmatic panels as opposed to replacing breakers. Once the internal components begin to heat up regularly, the evidence of heat is likely occurring throughout the panel. The aged breakers themselves will begin failing and causing heat and hazardous conditions. Changing the breaker will not improve the breaker’s contact point in the panel, which will continue to function impaired.

During the winter months it’s imperative to resolve hazardous electrical conditions. Here, an aged breaker for a dryer nearly caused a fire. Our team was able to identify, then diagnose the problem and rectify the issue at a reasonable cost. Better safe than sorry!
