Upgrade Your Old Wooden Window Sashes Without Replacing the Entire Window

If your existing wooden window sashes are rotting, deteriorating, sticking, or becoming difficult to operate, replacing them with EnviroGuard PVC sashes can be a smart, cost-effective solution.

Instead of paying to remove and replace the entire window, we can often preserve the existing window frame and replace just the sashes. This gives your windows a fresh start while helping you avoid the added cost, labor, and disruption of a full window replacement.

Benefits of PVC Replacement Sashes:

• Rot-resistant material: PVC won’t rot or decay like wood when exposed to moisture.
• Low maintenance: No routine scraping, sanding, or painting of the PVC itself.
• Moisture resistance: PVC does not absorb water like traditional wood.
• Long-lasting performance: PVC eliminates many of the common maintenance issues associated with aging wooden sashes.
• Cost savings: Replacing only the sashes can be less expensive than replacing the entire window when the existing frames are still sound.
• Preserve your existing windows: Keep the original frames and surrounding trim when they are in suitable condition.

My goal is to help you get more life out of your existing windows while improving their durability and reducing future maintenance. If the frames are still in good shape, replacing the sashes may be the solution you’re looking for.

Rebuilt these triple fixed sash windows and replaced the sashes on the double-hung window.

When wooden window sashes are rotted or damaged, you don’t always have to replace the entire window. In many cases, replacing just the sashes can restore the window and save the homeowner money while preserving the original character of the home.
