Pruning black walnut trees during the dormant season may still produce sap flow. Continue to prune! High concentrations of fungal spores in the air are rarely a concern until the end of February or early March. Even then removing limbs that need to be removed this year is a high priority.

A very large sugar maple tree endangered this 1832 age historic home. The experienced logger felled the tree producing a 37" DBH veneer butt log, but the top logs were hollow!

Thanksgiving at our tree farm. I broke our grandsons into tree planting using Norway Spruce trees from the Arbor Day Foundation.
