Some groundbreaking ceremonies mean a little more.

Since early 2024, Grace Construction Group has had the privilege of working alongside Lake Murray Baptist Church to help bring the vision for their South Ministries Center to life. After many months of planning, designing, budgeting, value engineering, and praying, we are incredibly grateful to say—we have officially broken ground.

Over the next year, this project will add approximately 9,000 square feet to the church’s existing facilities while also renovating approximately 12,000 square feet of existing sanctuary space.

We’re also grateful for Talmage Architects, whom we brought onto our team to help translate the church’s vision into a thoughtful design and to work collaboratively with both Lake Murray Baptist and Grace throughout this process. Projects like this remind us how much can be accomplished when the owner, architect, and contractor truly work as one team.

For our family and our company, though, this project represents something even greater.

We chose the name Grace Construction Group very intentionally. Our faith is at the foundation of who we are and how we strive to conduct our business. To have the opportunity to use the work God has entrusted to us to help build a place that will ultimately be used to serve people, share the Gospel, strengthen families, and reach future generations is something we do not take lightly.

We are deeply thankful to Lake Murray Baptist Church for the trust they have placed in our company and our family. Reaching this milestone has taken perseverance and a lot of people working together, and we give God the glory for bringing us to this point.

Now, it’s time to build. ❤️

Sometimes the biggest challenge isn’t the project—it’s everything happening around it.

Grace Construction is underway on a fast-track project for the University of South Carolina, rebuilding a masonry wall behind Russell House that was damaged when it was struck by a truck.

The timing? About as challenging as it gets. We’re working right in the heart of campus as students are moving in and preparing for the start of the fall semester—and just steps from Russell House, one of USC’s busiest hubs for student activity and dining.

Getting started required careful coordination with multiple university departments and agencies, along with a plan to maintain safe pedestrian access while working within an extremely tight site.

It’s a relatively small project with a big logistical component—and a very short turnaround.

We’re glad to be part of getting this area repaired, restored, and ready for the Gamecocks. 🤙

Project Update | Nearing Completion

It’s rewarding to see this project coming together.

Our team recently completed a large outdoor gathering deck, a new restroom facility, custom wire-panel railings, and accessibility improvements—all thoughtfully designed to preserve the mature trees and blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings.

We’re proud of the craftsmanship and collaboration that have gone into every detail and look forward to sharing the finished project soon.

We’re excited to kick off another project for USC!

We’re renovating more than 4 acres of fields that will be used for club sports, along with constructing a new restroom facility.

And if you happen to spot Williams-Brice Stadium in the background… yes, we’re right around the corner! It’s always an honor to help build spaces that serve our local community.

As we near completion of this exciting project, we want to recognize the exceptional work of Midland Company on this expansive outdoor entertainment deck.

Their attention to detail, craftsmanship, and commitment to quality have helped bring this vision to life. From the structural framing to the finished product, their team has done an outstanding job creating a space that will serve the community for years to come.

In addition to the deck, this project includes a new outdoor restroom facility designed to enhance the visitor experience and support future events at the park.

We’re grateful for great trade partners like Midland Company who help make projects like this a success.

Good construction starts with what you don’t see.
Pouring structural footers for the new deck area at Saluda Shoals Park, while progress continues on the restroom facility. Every detail matters—from placement to consolidation—for a solid foundation.

Strong communities are built through relationships—and we were honored to be part of the Chase Loveless Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament hosted by the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission. Proud to sponsor a hole alongside our sons (and team members), and extra proud of Garrett for winning Closest to the Pin! ⛳️

Big things are starting to take shape out at Saluda Shoals Park.

This restroom facility marks the beginning of a project designed to serve something bigger than just a structure—it’s about creating a space where community gathers, families connect, and memories are made.

We’re honored to be part of building something that will be used and enjoyed for years to come.

More progress to come as this space comes to life.

Groundbreaking day The Meeting Place Church of Greater Columbia🪏

This new pavilion and pocket park will be more than just a structure—it’s being built as a place for connection, fellowship, and community.

From families gathering to food trucks rolling in, this space is already bringing people together—and construction has just begun.

We’re grateful to play a role in helping bring this vision to life and can’t wait to see it filled with people.
