Sometimes the biggest challenge isn’t the project—it’s everything happening around it.

Grace Construction is underway on a fast-track project for the University of South Carolina, rebuilding a masonry wall behind Russell House that was damaged when it was struck by a truck.

The timing? About as challenging as it gets. We’re working right in the heart of campus as students are moving in and preparing for the start of the fall semester—and just steps from Russell House, one of USC’s busiest hubs for student activity and dining.

Getting started required careful coordination with multiple university departments and agencies, along with a plan to maintain safe pedestrian access while working within an extremely tight site.

It’s a relatively small project with a big logistical component—and a very short turnaround.

We’re glad to be part of getting this area repaired, restored, and ready for the Gamecocks. 🤙

Project Update | Nearing Completion

It’s rewarding to see this project coming together.

Our team recently completed a large outdoor gathering deck, a new restroom facility, custom wire-panel railings, and accessibility improvements—all thoughtfully designed to preserve the mature trees and blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings.

We’re proud of the craftsmanship and collaboration that have gone into every detail and look forward to sharing the finished project soon.

We’re excited to kick off another project for USC!

We’re renovating more than 4 acres of fields that will be used for club sports, along with constructing a new restroom facility.

And if you happen to spot Williams-Brice Stadium in the background… yes, we’re right around the corner! It’s always an honor to help build spaces that serve our local community.

As we near completion of this exciting project, we want to recognize the exceptional work of Midland Company on this expansive outdoor entertainment deck.

Their attention to detail, craftsmanship, and commitment to quality have helped bring this vision to life. From the structural framing to the finished product, their team has done an outstanding job creating a space that will serve the community for years to come.

In addition to the deck, this project includes a new outdoor restroom facility designed to enhance the visitor experience and support future events at the park.
