Had some air coverage for us while mowing in Grand Junction this week. The Blue Angels were in town and made it hard to focus and mow straight lines.

The heat of the summer is tough on all the lawns we maintain. We mow at 3-3.5” for lawns and 4-5” for field grass; water is set to twice a day 3x a week according to most water restrictions and we follow a quarterly fertilizer schedule and July is when we apply iron rich fertilizer.

A local landscaper says water alone is not enough to keep a lawn healthy during a hot, dry summer.
