Before you backfill you have to make sure some of the key things are done.
- coping between the footing and block wall
- drain system if you need it
- stucco and smooth all blocks exterior
- install foundation tar sealant
- install filter fabric around your drain system

These steps of down correctly will make sure you never have any structure issues and also any water coming inside of your new foundation.

after you pass your footing inspection and Pour concrete then the next step is to build your foundation walls. As you see here, this is one of the most important steps that you square your foundation and build it as a according to plans.

Just as important as a footing is to be lined up with the plans so as foundation. If this goes crooked or anything happens, can mess up the whole entire finished product 100%. But once a blocks are late, you go ahead and cement the exterior and ready for tar and backfill inspection!

The stage where it is so simple but if not done right it can cost you a lot. This is fire blocking. One of the most important steps in any construction process. If not done right the results can be catastrophic. God forbid but if you follow these steps here in New Jersey. This is how we do a fire blocking and this is what is by cold in New Jersey and how we do it.

If you know what your doing and up for the challenge... you can always do the work yourself. In New Jersey if you name is on the tile of the home, then your allowed to perform the work yourself and still get it inspected and approved as long as it's done right. If you have the time and the energy to tackle a project.. You don't always have to hire a GC. If you have any questions reach out and i'll see how i can answer all your questions...

we started Excavation at our Edison project. The Excavation was doing good until we went ahead and found all this water. We try our best to go ahead and pump the water out and hopefully it dries but if it doesn't dry, then we have to move onto the next step and go ahead and hire Engineer and then we have to redesign these footings.

We're gonna pray for the best and hopefully we don't have to do the Engineer part and this water dries up and we go ahead and keep pushing forward. That's a part of the process which we don't know, but we tackle these problems as they come along. But we are here for the client with their best interest in hand and we'll see what's the next move is and we'll take it from there.

Day one of any extension we do is layout and mark out. we used the plans that are approved by a township, and based on that we go ahead and mark out all the foundation layout on the ground with spray paint.
People oversee this, but this is actually the most important step in the beginning. You mess this up and you mess the whole project up. You have to make sure the property is squared and the measurements are good. The size is correct because you don't wanna do any rework.
Number one rule construction is measure twice cut once, that's what we're doing. We measure twice double check and then we go ahead and start the Excavation.
