Mani/pedi day on the mini-farm. 💅

Not nearly as satisfying as Nate the Hoof Guy (my new scrolling addiction) but just as important. Since our goats are on grass pasture, there is little to no opportunity for natural wear.

Keeping their hooves trimmed makes sure they can walk normally, prevent some leg and foot problems, and just keeps them more comfortable. Even if they don’t particularly love the process.

Nothing says spring quite like chicky babies! 🐣

Twenty eggs went in, nineteen chicks came out. One solid black, four black & white, and the rest are yellow with some black flecks. These are all barnyard mixes from our flock so I’m looking forward to their final coloring!

Meet the newest additions to our little farm family: Emma (front; more white) & Bella. 🖤🤍 We love them already.

Emma and Bella are Jacob Sheep. Considered a primitive breed in the U.S., these piebald sheep haven’t been “improved” over the years for commercialization, maintaining the hardiness and daintier build of their early ancestors. 🫶🏻
