Justus Dale Campbell, 95, passed away peacefully January 25, 2026, in Stuart, Florida after a long and joyous life. He is survived by his devoted second wife of over 40 years, Elvira Campbell. He is lovingly remembered by his 4 children, 7 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
LTC J.D. Campbell proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years. He also served as a commercial pilot and flight instructor for 32-years with Eastern Airlines, based in Miami, FL, attaining the rank of Captain and operating 14 airframes throughout his career. He then served as a fight instructor for 5 years with Airbus in Miami, France and Germany. When not flying, he enjoyed his family, sailing, tennis, golf, classical music and playing the dulcimer.
A private memorial gathering for family will be held at the South Florida National Cemetery located at 6501 FL-7, Wellington, Florida 33449. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to The Audubon Society act.audubon.org to honor his love of nature and all things that fly.
