Its been a few weeks since I got out to the shop to build something. The extreme cold up here in the north has been a major deterrent. But now I’m out here in a t-shirt working comfortably 👌🏻 Anyway, I’m an repurposing my old work bench into a laundry room folding station. Nothing crazy, just something flat with a bottom shelf. Hope to have it installed later tonight.

Finally finished up the rebuild on my automotive/bicycle work bench. I an old cabinet and pretty much reused all of the old work bench, just had to shorten it 2ft to fit in the new spot. Next step is paint and then to move onto my .

Operation organize the shop will be my main goal for this weekend! The workbench on the right will be shortened, a shelf added and moved to the left side of the shop and my will go in it’s place. Automotive tools/bike tools will be houses on the left while all my wood working tools will be houses on the right. Wish me luck 😬

👌🏻👌🏻 Some more wood action. This was a quick refresh of the in our house. For whatever reason, the previous owner threw this toilet up on a pedestal with some really ugly tile. I had a bunch of this wood left over and made it for a great revamp. Along with that, I grabbed some 1x4 trim, (the exact same stuff I used in the ) torched it and threw it in place. Not too shabby for 45 mins of work.

Anyone have small kids around while working on projects? If you do, you know that they pretty much need your full attention.
Decided to try my hand at building a drawer. It’s been 9-10 years since i last tried, and I didn’t exactly have the right tools last time. The drawer is for a floating desk that will house the family computer.

While I was cutting the long pieces for the drawer, one of the kids needed something and called me inside the house. I came back out, measured the small pieces, cut them, threw some pocket holes in, cut the 1/4” plywood for the bottom, screwed it all together and went to go install the drawer slides. That’s when I realized I cut the long pieces for the small pieces when one of the kids called me inside 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ So now I have a perfectly good drawer that is too small and I need to build a new one.
