It’s Think About It Thursday!💭 🤔

Thinking about becoming a foster parent in Georgia? 🍑
Here is an important detail to keep in mind regarding home evaluations:

🔍Home Checks: During your home or kinship evaluation with the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services, caseworkers will look at your physical environment, including asking about your septic tank's maintenance history to make sure it's working properly.

📑Attestation: You may need to complete an official attestation confirming your septic system is properly maintained, meets local code requirements, and that you'll promptly report any plumbing issues to DFCS.

⛑️Safety First: Along with standard checks like smoke alarms and water safety, a fully functioning septic system is mandatory to guarantee a safe, healthy environment for everyone in the home.

It’s Wisdom Wednesday! 🧠💡

Think you need a septic tank additive to keep things running smoothly? 🚫 Think again!

According to the U.S. EPA, septic additives containing bacteria or chemicals are unnecessary and can actually do more harm than good. Here is why you should skip them and save your money💸:

📌Already fully equipped: Your system naturally contains all the bacteria, enzymes, and microorganisms it needs to function properly.

📌Risk of damage: Some products can interfere with waste breakdown, cause system clogging, and even contaminate groundwater.

📌Unproven claims: Many cleaners and enhancers lack solid third-party research data to back up their manufacturer promises.

🤔What should you do instead?
Save your cash and leave the troubleshooting to the professional experts! If you are experiencing operational issues, feel free to reach out to us!

Note: It’s important to ask questions & advocate for yourself before spending YOUR money! Check with our state or local environmental health department before purchasing or using any products.
