🌿 Before & After: Shady Backyard Food Forest Transformation! 🌴
After seeing the results of Weedwisegardens organic lawn care in their front yard (can see some in the back too) these homeowners asked about installing sod in the backyard. Instead of laying grass that would struggle in the heavy shade and compete with large tree roots, we recommended a better long-term solution.
Edible Earth Scapes designed and installed a thriving tropical food forest that’s beautiful, productive, and perfectly suited to the site. You can even see how much greener the lawn is at the entrance to the backyard thanks to our ongoing organic lawn care program.

To tie everything together, we planted Sunshine Mimosa and Perennial Peanut as living groundcovers to naturally suppress weeds, build healthy soil, and support pollinators.
The pineapple, turmeric, and ginger will continue spreading over time, creating an even denser, more productive landscape with very little maintenance.
