I don’t know everything, and I’m always learning, but that’s honestly one of my favorite parts of this homestead life.
Every time I learn about a new herb or preserve something from the garden, I’m reminded of how much God gave us that we’ve simply forgotten how to use. The more I learn, the more I realize He put so much right in front of us. Every plant seems to have a purpose, and I think that’s pretty incredible.
Today’s project was harvesting mullein leaves and rolling them to dry. Mullein has been used to support respiratory health and is commonly prepared as teas, tinctures, infused oils, steams, or even smoked for traditional respiratory support during congestion.
It’s pretty amazing to think that a plant growing in a field can become part of your family’s medicine cabinet.
I still have so much to learn, and honestly, I love that! 🌿🤍
