We’re excited to recognize Dakota on his promotion to Senior Project Engineer! 👏

Dakota is a great teammate who is always looking for ways to help. He is constantly asking what he can do to support the team and is willing to step in and contribute wherever he is needed. He presents himself well in meetings and represents himself and the team with professionalism. Dakota brings a calm, level-headed approach to his work.

Over the past year, Dakota has grown immensely, gaining valuable experience, developing his skills, and building the confidence to step into new challenges and responsibilities. He has a steady, even-keeled personality and isn’t easily rattled, even while managing multiple jobs at once. His ability to multitask, stay focused, and keep things moving has made him a valuable part of the team.

From the moment Katherine joined TWC Michigan, she hit the ground running - and she hasn’t stopped since. She’s driven, confident, incredibly knowledgeable, and has a presence that is hard to miss. She commands a room, holds her own in an industry that demands a lot, and has earned the respect of the people around her.

But what makes Katherine such an important part of our team goes far beyond her ability to get the job done. She brings determination, leadership, personality, and a willingness to step up and take on whatever comes her way. She has continued to grow, challenge herself, and prove exactly what she is capable of.

As we wrap up the summer, TWC Michigan would like to thank Madelyn Harding, Tagg Gott, Dillon Thomson, and Kawahn Woods for choosing to spend their summer interning with us!

We’ve truly enjoyed watching each of them grow, learn, and become part of the TWC team. This summer marked Madelyn’s second year with TWC Michigan, as she has continued to work with us year-round. Tagg returned for his second internship with TWC, while Dillon completed his second TWC internship and his first with TWC Michigan. Kawahn joined us for his first internship with TWC Michigan, and we’ve enjoyed watching him learn and grow throughout the summer.

We wrapped up the summer with some putt-putt golf and lunch together - a great way to celebrate everything they accomplished and the time we’ve spent together!

We’re especially excited that Madelyn will continue with TWC part-time throughout the year, and Dillon has accepted a full-time position on our Line & Grade team.

Madelyn will be returning to Western Michigan University, while Dillon, Tagg, and Kawahn will return to Ferris State University to continue their studies.

Thank you, Madelyn, Tagg, Dillon, and Kawahn, for all your hard work and for choosing TWC! We wish everyone a successful school year, and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for all four of you! 👏

TWC Michigan is proud to spotlight Rusty Sparks, Project Superintendent, as our Employee of the Week!

Rusty truly embodies what TWC is all about. He is dedicated, dependable, a true team player, and always willing to do whatever it takes to help ensure the job gets done right.

Rusty was one of the first few people hired when TWC Michigan was established, and the growth he has demonstrated since joining our team has been remarkable. From day one, he has continued to develop as a leader, take on new challenges, and contribute to the success of our projects.

No matter what project Rusty is assigned to, he takes ownership and does everything he can to set the team up for success. He consistently looks beyond the task at hand, planning ahead for what needs to be accomplished in the days, weeks, and months to come. His ability to anticipate needs, coordinate resources, and prepare his team well in advance helps keep projects moving smoothly and ensures everyone is ready when it is time to get to work.
