On this deck project, we’re going to be keeping most of the structure of the existing deck because it’s in good shape and there’s really no need to replace it. There are a few joists that are a little worn, so we’re going to replace them as needed, but keeping the rest of the structure helps cut down significantly on the total project cost! This customer had a contractor install this new accessible shower, but when the floor started leaking, they couldn’t get a hold of him. So, they called us to tear out the floor, add waterproofing, and install a new tile floor with a linear drain.

Now that we’ve got the built-in tub and open shelving removed, you can see the plumbing is on the right-hand side of the room. Since it’s right where we’ll be installing the new tub, we don’t have to do any major re-plumbing to move the supply or waste lines.

This is the before pictures for another bath remodel. You can see that the customer originally had a built-in garden tub with some open shelving on the left. We’ll be removing all of this and installing a new freestanding tub and linen closet! Plus, we’re taking out the laminate floor and installing new tile floor throughout the bathroom! Here’s the new finished bathroom! This customer made some great design choices! The large format floor and shower tile bring just enough light grey to balance out the dark sage of the walls. Plus, the black metal fixtures and accents tie the whole room together. On top of the design, the whole bathroom is so much more functional now! The extended vanity gives them a ton of counter and storage space, and the new shower is significantly easier to use than the old walk-in-tub!
