🦝 OMNI WILDLIFE RELOCATION PARTNERS WANTED 🦨

As part of our wildlife trapping and removal work, Omni Wildlife Management works to safely and responsibly relocate eligible nuisance wildlife whenever relocation is appropriate and permitted.

We’re currently building a network of private landowners surrounding Oklahoma County who may be willing to allow certain wildlife species to be released onto their property.

📍 Canadian County
📍 Kingfisher County
📍 Logan County
📍 Lincoln County
📍 Pottawatomie County
📍 Cleveland County
📍 McClain County

Ideal properties include larger rural acreages, farms, ranches, recreational properties, hunting land, and other suitable private properties with adequate habitat.

Depending on the property and habitat, we may be looking for locations suitable for one or multiple eligible species. Property owners can decide which species, if any, they are comfortable accepting.

Our goal is simple: build relationships with responsible Oklahoma landowners who can help us provide nuisance wildlife with a more suitable environment while allowing our team to conduct relocation efforts responsibly and maintain compliance with applicable wildlife regulations.

Nothing will ever be released on a participating property without the landowner’s knowledge and permission.

If you own private property in one of these counties and would be interested in becoming an Omni Wildlife Relocation Partner, send us a message or give us a call.

It’s not all bugs and gophers around here! 🐗

This weekend had Omni out working on our hog trapping setups!

“Most of my hog-trapping experience was learned down in Texas working alongside my uncle Jimmy, along with additional hands-on experience trapping hogs in Northeastern Oklahoma. Over the years, we’ve continued developing and improving our trap systems, including modifications to the trigger system based on the work of a wildlife biologist in Alabama with more than 25 years of experience. We’ve taken those concepts, made them our own, and built a system around real-world hog behavior, durability, and effective population reduction.”
— Kyler Damron, Co-Founder | Omni Wildlife Management and Pest Control

The trigger system used on these traps were inspired by In His Name Outdoors—big shoutout to them for the inspiration behind our builds. Will get better pictures of the snap shackle/ tripwire setup we used this week and post them as well as captures over the next few weeks.

There’s plenty of work that happens before the first hog ever steps inside. Building traps, planning placement, and learning how hogs move through a property all take time and patience. We enjoy that process and putting it to work for our customers.

Hogs tearing up your property? Send Omni Wildlife Management & Pest Control a message, and let’s talk about a trapping plan for your land.

END-OF-DAY REPORT

STORMS & FIRE DANGER SHARE THE MAP

Storms remain active across western and northern Oklahoma, while dry fuels keep fire danger elevated. Hot weather returns statewide Wednesday.

QUIET NEWS DAY: Tonight’s verified update centers on weather conditions that affect safe property checks—not a reported pest outbreak.

WHAT CHANGED TONIGHT

In its 5:40 p.m. update, the National Weather Service in Norman reported thunderstorms developing along a cold front across western into northern Oklahoma. Gusty, erratic winds were possible through just after sunset, and lightning could create new wildfire starts in dry areas. Conditions vary by location; follow current warnings and radar before beginning exterior work.

WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK

The front is expected to weaken and lift north, bringing another hot day statewide. Oklahoma City is forecast near 99°F. A Heat Advisory covers parts of south-central and southeast Oklahoma, where heat-index values of at least 105°F are possible. Dry fuels mean elevated fire danger remains a concern.

PROPERTY CHECK

Wait for storms to clear and conditions to become safe before checking roofs, vents, drainage or outdoor equipment. Keep dry grass and loose debris away from exterior equipment and ignition sources.

OMNI TIP OF THE DAY

After conditions are safe, inspect door sweeps and window screens for damage. Weather alone does not confirm pest or wildlife activity at a property.

END-OF-DAY REPORT

TUESDAY TURNS HOTTER; STORMS TARGET NORTHWEST

A sharper Tuesday weather split is now in view: Oklahoma City could reach 100°F, while northwest Oklahoma has a marginal risk of strong to isolated severe thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening.

QUIET NEWS DAY
Tonight’s shorter edition focuses on a verified evening weather update. This is seasonal property guidance—not evidence of a pest outbreak or a problem at any particular property.

TUESDAY HEAT BUILDS

In its 6:35 p.m. Monday update, the National Weather Service in Norman forecast hotter conditions Tuesday. Oklahoma City’s projected high is near 100°F, and a Heat Advisory is in effect for southeastern Oklahoma from noon to 7 p.m.

Homeowners, technicians and facility teams should move nonurgent exterior inspections and maintenance to cooler hours where practical. Heat precautions remain important because NWS expects hot and humid conditions to continue through at least Friday.

NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA STORM RISK

Thunderstorms may develop near a cold front in northwest Oklahoma Tuesday afternoon and continue into the evening. NWS says some storms could become strong or isolated severe; the Storm Prediction Center places part of northwest Oklahoma in a Marginal Risk, with hail and damaging wind the main potential hazards.

This risk does not cover all of Oklahoma. Check the current local forecast before changing plans or beginning exterior work.

TODAY’S OKLAHOMA PEST & WILDLIFE OUTLOOK

• Central Oklahoma: Plan nonurgent exterior checks for cooler hours.
• Southeast Oklahoma: Heat Advisory Tuesday afternoon.
• Northwest Oklahoma: Secure lightweight equipment before storms develop.
• Statewide: Do not treat weather alone as proof of pest or wildlife activity.

OMNI TIP OF THE DAY

Repair worn door sweeps and damaged window screens to reduce easy entry points. Check rooflines, vents and exterior openings from ground level first, and avoid ladders during unsafe heat or wind.
