Personally, there are few things in this world that can make me more happy than receiving a greeting card containing a hand written note in the mail. It's special and you know that the person who sent that card took the time out of their day to choose the perfect card, just for you, and to write the perfect combination of words inside that perfect card, to express how they feel, just for you. , I am a total sucker for a great coffee mug. I mean, I have a collection that is ex-ten-siiiiiive. I love them. I think they're great. My whole life, I have loved to create cards for the people around me. Whether they be for birthdays or holidays, to say 'thank you' or 'get well soon', or to just simply express: It's Thursday and I think you're rad. Creating something that will uplift another person or make them laugh gives me such great joy. The designs that inspired the creation of this Etsy shop were first put down on paper in 2013. I was trying to come up with a theme for that year's valentines and some little dinos came flowing out of my pencil. (Fun Fact About Me: I'm obsessed with dinosaurs and frequently wonder why I didn't become a paleontologist.) I drew a set of characters and have been building on them and using them on handmade cards for my loved ones ever since. From there, I started to create more little designs and characters that I thought would be simple yet bold enough to stand alone on a blank card and that were fun and whimsical enough to be perfect for special occasions or just for any old day of the week. I live my life with the mentality that we should take every excuse we have to celebrate and run with them. Life is too short to not tell people how you feel and people are to stressed to not soak up all the positivity and good vibes they can. Who cares if Valentine's Day isn't for 6 months? Sending a card to express your love for someone is appropriate every single day of the year. And who cares if no one sends cards for Thanksgiving? It's actually my favorite holiday and I can't think of a single better day to give the friends and family I get to share that holiday with a little something extra. All the designs used on From Meade To You's merchandise are original and made with love by me, Megan Meade.
