Tomorrow evening, Matt Jacknow of Jacknow Construction will be joining Robin Schwadron of R Titus Designs and Christina Townsend of Townsend Design for a conversation about why having your architect, contractor, and interior designer working together early in the process can make such a difference in a renovation.

They’ll be talking about how early collaboration can help avoid costly change orders, keep projects on track, and create a home that is both beautiful and functional.

📅 Wednesday, September 30th
⏰ 6:30–8:30 PM
📍 R Titus Design Studio & Shop
143 S. Oak Park Ave., Oak Park

Come with your questions! There will be plenty of time to talk with the panel, plus light bites, refreshments, and a fun door prize.

Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP. We’d love to see some familiar faces there!

We have heard about some scams in the area and want to make sure our neighbors know the facts about how to make sure it is a legitimate company or a scam.

Here are some helpful tips to make sure you are not being scammed when approached by a construction solicitor.

1.) Ask for a detailed estimate in writing before committing to a project.
2.) Ask for proof of insurance.
3.) Agree upon a price before they begin work and make sure all change orders are agreed and signed by both parties.
4.) Question the company if they say “they have extra material” from a job down the street.
5.) Some villages do not allow professional construction projects to be done on Sundays.
