As it gets colder, here are a few things to think about.
1. Please make sure you disconnect your hoses from your outdoor faucets to prevent freezing and potential future issues. If you have an accessible shut off valve inside for them, I suggest shutting it off and draining that section of pipe altogether as added protection. If you don't have one, I can help with that.
2. As you go to prepare your holiday feasts, please keep the food (especially greasy foods and liquids) out of the kitchen sinks. If something does end up going down the drain then run hot water for 30 seconds or so to help it find it's way to the main sewer. Should anything start draining slow, I can help with that.
3. Check your water heaters, tank types can last anywhere from 10-14+ years. Tankless have a lifespan of 20+ years as long as they are flushed annually and properly maintained. If yours isn't looking so hot (pun absolutely intended) or it is getting up there in age then reach out, I am Navien trained and certified and we can talk about any questions or concerns you may have.
