Custom home design is a curation process. What starts with vision eventually becomes samples, showroom visits, and the decisions that are the heartbeat of your home.

In our newest episode of The Art of Custom, we talk with Erin Walker, principle at Erin Walker Studio, and St Louis’s own in-house lead designer, Ann Fritz, about the selections and finishes phase.

Ann works with our clients on a variety of forever homes - from classic Georgian estates with a twist to bespoke takes on the modern farmhouse.

Erin is designing with us in Marcella and Talisker Club custom home projects in Park City, helping our clients’ mountain designs feel personal.

And this episode is a lovely window with a view into the design decisions our clients make that create spaces that are uniquely them.

Siding school is in session! 📚

From Hardie to Royal and beyond - our team recently took a field trip with our superintendents to learn about the materials, installation, and best use of this popular cladding option.

When it comes to custom building, materials and selections are virtually limitless. And there’s always something new for our team to learn!

We couldn’t let National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Professional Women in Building Week pass without recognizing all of the women on our team who are working with our homeowners to turn their visions into their home.

From design to accounts to project management, our team is made up of more than 40% women who have all made their way to our team in unique ways. We have professional engineers, designers, project management professionals, and artists who bring their talents to the team and we wouldn’t be the same without them.

If you _now, you _now 🐯

Margie + Rich met at Mizzou, so naturally their custom home includes a Mizzou bar built for friends, family, game days... and one rivalry game that might matter a little more than the others.

Mizzou vs. _U today.

Safe to say, we _now which side this house is on. 😉
