A well-kept yard doesn't happen by accident.

Seasonal Clean-Up is a one-time reset for your whole property. No plan required, no commitment attached. Book it in the spring to clear out what winter left behind, or in the fall to close the season out clean. Some people book both. Some book one and never think about it again.

This lot was so overgrown you could not walk it. One day later, you can see every corner of it.

Brush knocked down, undergrowth cut out, limbs pulled, and the ground opened back up. Our crew worked this one until the sun went down and the lights came on.

Fall is the right time for this work. The growth slows down, the leaves drop so we can actually see what we are dealing with, and clearing now means the overgrowth does not come back twice as thick in the spring. Another round of storms is moving through Richmond and North Chesterfield tonight.

Wind and heavy rain are what bring weak limbs and leaning trees down, and most of the calls we get come the morning after.

If you wake up to tree damage, here is what to do first.

1. Stay away from anything touching a power line. Treat every downed line as live and call the utility first, not a tree crew.

2. Do not walk under a hanging limb. A branch caught up in the canopy can drop hours later with no warning.

3. Take photos before anything moves. Wide shots and close ups, from a safe distance. Your insurance company will ask, and it is much harder to prove after cleanup.

4. Walk the yard again in daylight. Split trunks, lifted roots, and cracked limbs are easy to miss in the dark.

5. Get an assessment before anyone cuts. A tree that looks stable can be holding tension in the trunk, and that is how people get hurt.
