Just completed finishing touches on this nautical 12x24”, which I painted during a recent plein air outing with an art bud. aaaand… my subject left mid-painting! That’s how it goes. ..and one reason why I take photos, which also come in handy if I need to refer to them later 😉

(This will be available soon but send a DM if you’re interested in taking it home)

A couple pieces from this past week’s trip down to the Outer Banks for the Fresh Plein Air Festival Dare Arts . It was hot! But I still managed as plein air artists do, and submitted my two pieces for the show. Another halfway-there piece didn’t make the cut. I’m so glad I could make it back for a second year!

Remember the little oil painted study that accidentally hit the ground - face down - a few weeks back?? ..It had come together so nicely too, and so quickly! BUT such is the animal of Plein Air, you can’t even be mad. There was some real potential in it though, so this giant 30x40” was born. Aside from painting murals back several years ago, this is my biggest painting yet. I do love a good challenge. Some green and gold for you
