I am excited to share that I have accepted a summer internship with Hefferlin and Kronenberg Architects here in Chattanooga, Tennessee!

A notable detail is that HK Architects recently worked on The Waymark, a former bank that has been thoughtfully transformed into a boutique hospitality venue. This is particularly meaningful to me, as the building was originally designed by R. H. Hunt, who also designed the former Old Brainerd Junior High School that is now the focus of my senior thesis adaptive reuse project at UTC, a project we will be presenting this week.

Observing how HK approaches historic preservation and revitalizing significant structures has been incredibly inspiring throughout my own design process. I am honored to learn from their team and contribute this summer! ✏️📐

The value of this certification comes from what it represents: responsible material selection, healthier indoor air quality, energy and water efficiency, and design strategies that reduce lifecycle impact.

Feeling incredibly honored this week.
Our senior Responsive Design class had the chance to work with Scottie Bowman, Christi Homar, Shelley Armstrong, and the Chattanooga Launch Pad team as they move toward 2026 groundbreaking of the Healing House.

The Launch Pad is a non-profit organization dedicated to launching women out of addiction and into the healing power of a 12-step sober living program.

This project proposes a space where all of their ladies can meet, grow, and feel supported.

Together, our teams spent the entire semester listening, surveying, and getting to know the women behind this project, and it’s been one of the most humbling experiences. We feel so thankful UTC students get to be part of something so meaningful! 🩵🌿
