A little shade, a lot of craftsmanship, and one lucky flock. 🐔🌳

Just delivered this custom 6x12 raised chicken coop & run to Chad in Belmont, NC!

Nestled right against the tree line, this setup gets plenty of natural shade and blends perfectly into the backyard. The coop features brown wood-grain vinyl flooring, pressure-treated lumber, an exterior nesting box, plenty of ventilation, and a sleek black metal roof that really finishes it off.

Chad’s chickens were ready for an upgrade, and their new home is officially ready! They’ll be sharing the yard with a few goats and a bunny, so I’d say they’ve got themselves a pretty good little backyard farm going. 😂🐔🐐🐰

The chickens and ducks agreed on one thing—they wanted to be neighbors… just not roommates! 😂🐔🦆

Delivered these two matching 6x14 walk-in coops & runs to the Cook family in Kernersville, NC! A few more finishing details and this awesome setup will officially be complete.

One coop is for the chickens 🐔 and the other is for the ducks 🦆. We positioned them back-to-back, allowing both flocks to see and interact with each other while still having their own separate, secure spaces.

Both coops feature:
• Pressure-treated lumber throughout
• Durable vinyl flooring for easy cleanup
• Automatic poultry doors
• Spacious walk-in runs
• Easy-access doors
• Metal roofing
• Plenty of ventilation and protected outdoor space

This was definitely a fun and unique build! Two separate setups, one big custom design, and plenty of room for both flocks to enjoy their new homes.

A big thank you to the Cook family for trusting Clay’s Custom Coops with this project! I can’t wait to see everything once the finishing touches are complete and the chickens and ducks are officially moved in.

🐔 Another custom coop has landed in Raleigh, NC!

Just delivered this 4x10 walk-in coop & run to Christopher in Raleigh! It may be one of our more compact builds, but we packed it with plenty of custom features to make caring for his flock easy.

This build includes a double coop entry door, easy-clean vinyl flooring, automatic chicken door, Dutch-style run door, nesting boxes, and plenty of secure space protected with hardware cloth.

One of my favorite custom touches on this one is the small pulley-operated door built into the run, designed specifically to connect to a chicken tunnel. 🐓 Pretty cool way to give the flock even more room to explore!

From Greensboro to Lynchburg, VA — another flock just got a serious upgrade! 🐔🏡🔥

This 6x15 walk-in coop & run made its way to Amie in Lynchburg, Virginia!

Built with plenty of room for her flock and designed to make chicken keeping a whole lot easier. This build features a full walk-in design, spacious covered run, vinyl flooring, multiple roosting bars, nesting box, plenty of ventilation, and easy-access doors throughout. And that burnished slate metal lean-to roof really finishes it off!

Another happy customer 🙌🏽

This custom 10x20 attached run is complete for Holly in Reidsville, NC.

We added this run onto her existing coop, giving her flock a spacious, secure, and well-ventilated area to roam while staying protected from predators. This build features a durable Galvalume metal roof, pressure treated lumber, a custom Dutch door for easy access, and corner roosts to give the chickens extra space to perch and relax.

A lot of people know us for our custom chicken coops, but we build much more than just coops. If you already have a coop you love, we can design and build a custom attached run that matches your setup and gives your flock the extra room they deserve.

Not every coop can be delivered… sometimes you have to bring the workshop to the customer.

Yesterday we finished this custom 8x26 chicken coop and run for Kayvon in Pittsboro, NC! Built entirely on-site because there was no way a coop this size was fitting through the gate.

This setup was designed to comfortably house turkeys, chickens, and guineas, and it’s packed with custom features:
🐔 Durable vinyl flooring
🚪 Automatic oversized chicken door
🪵 Plenty of roosting space for a large flock
🪟 Dutch-style coop door with a covered window
🌬️ Ventilation fans and many exterior windows for excellent airflow
📦 Built-in interior storage area

Fresh off the trailer and looking right at home! 🏡🐔

This custom-built 6x15 coop and run combo was just delivered to Johnny and Amy in Mechanicsville, Virginia! Thank you both for trusting me with your flock’s new home.

This setup is built to last with pressure-treated lumber, a beautiful blue metal roof, easy-to-clean vinyl flooring, and an automatic chicken door for added convenience and peace of mind. The spacious attached run gives the flock plenty of room to roam, and it’s perfectly positioned in a beautiful shaded area to help keep the chickens cool and comfortable during these hot summer days.

Today, Steve and Alison made the trip all the way from the Chicago area to pick up their new custom chicken coop!

Finished with a beautiful Hawaiian Blue metal roof, an automatic chicken door, durable vinyl flooring, and built from pressure-treated lumber, this coop is ready for years of service.

After getting everything loaded up, strapped down, and road-trip ready, they’re officially headed back home with one of our handcrafted coops.

It’s truly humbling that someone would travel 11 hours (22 hr round trip) because they believed our craftsmanship was worth the drive. 🙏 Thank you, Steve and Alison for trusting Clay’s Custom Coops.
