Matching overalls. One dog. A whole lot of terrace.

A mother and her daughter asked for a place to sit together. Not a showpiece. A place. Somewhere to have coffee in the morning and watch the light move across the stone in the evening.

So we gave them room. A field of pavers wide enough to hold years of it. A cobble border that separates the built from the planted without announcing itself. A fire pit for the months when the coffee gets replaced by something warmer.

The design is quiet. That’s the point. The best hardscape gets out of the way of the life happening on top of it.
