🗳️ Elect Hannah Chavis Lear - Stanly County School Board ON NOVEMBER 3RD!! 🗳️
Let me start this post by saying this is the only “political” post you will ever see on my page- but as a mom of three SCS students (not to mention someone who has built a career off painting the rocks in front of these schools) it’s something I feel strongly about and will hopefully encourage others to help create the change we want to see in our schools.
If you know Hannah, then you already know what a strong and passionate person she is. If not, let me tell you what I know. Hannah is not a “yes man.” She isn’t scared to speak up when things clearly aren’t right. She asks the hard questions and isn’t afraid to push back when something doesn’t make sense. She advocates for teachers- the real MVPs of our school system. She cares about the safety of our students and the quality of not only their education but the buildings they learn in- and she has a history of getting things done. Last year she fought tooth and nail to replace the unsafe playground equipment at Millingport Elementary and thanks to her and the other PTO members, the children at that school now have a safe place to play. If you’ve ever been on a PTO or dealt with the school system, then you know this is no small feat to make happen. Hannah did that. Oh, and most importantly she’s a mom- which means she can already handle pretty much anything 😂💪🏼
If your child attends literally any school in Stanly County, I can guarantee you have opinions about the way things are run in our county versus others. Hannah is the type of person that will not stop until people have answers and positive change has been made. As a community, we NEED to rally behind people like this. The more people like Hannah that we elect to our school board, the better our schools will become- period.
Early voting runs from October 15th-31st, with Election Day on November 3rd. School is out that day, so take your kids with you to vote and teach them how much this type of thing matters. As parents, that’s the very least we could do.
And no, AI did not help me write this status. Just something real from the heart of one passionate mom, about another. 💙
