🌿✨ A little cabinet refresh at PlantAholx! ✨🌿

Finally gave the plant cabinet a refresh and reorganized these beauties! There’s something so satisfying about moving everyone around and getting to admire all those gorgeous leaves again. 😍💚

The textures, colors, and variegation have me stopping to stare every time I walk by! 😂🌱

Now, how long will it stay this organized before I start squeezing in “just one more” plant?

🌿 A little update from PlantAholx! 🌿

Sorry you haven’t seen much from us lately! My full-time job has been keeping me busy. With just two of us working seven days a week, it’s been a lot—but those pups aren’t going to take care of themselves! 🐾😂

Over the next week, I’ll be putting together a list and pictures of some of our mother plants that we’re ready to part with… and this is a sale you won’t want to miss! 👀🪴

There will be pothos, philodendrons, begonias, and plenty more—with no plant priced over $15! These aren’t little starter plants, either! If you’ve been wanting a bigger plant at a bargain, stay tuned! 🙌💚

🌿 Third Time’s the Charm… Hopefully! 🌿
Tonight marks my third attempt at pollinating a Philodendron flower! This time, I used pollen from my Philodendron Mayoi to pollinate this beautiful Philodendron Jungle Boogie, making the potential cross:

🪴 Philodendron Jungle Boogie × Mayoi 🪴

My first attempt—a Squamiferum × Mayoi cross—unfortunately failed. However, my second attempt, Mayoi × Squamiferum, is still holding strong! We’re only a few days into that bloom, so it’s still early, but I’m staying hopeful! 🤞

If this newest pollination takes, I can only imagine what the seedlings might look like! I’m hoping for a gorgeous combination of Jungle Boogie’s long, serrated leaves and Mayoi’s deeply divided foliage. Of course, plant genetics can be unpredictable—and that’s half the fun!

Now comes the hardest part: waiting to see if it worked! Keep your fingers crossed that this attempt gives us some berries and, eventually, a batch of unique little hybrid babies! 🌱💚

🌿 When Untangling a Hoya Becomes a Full-Body Workout… 😂

My roommate volunteered—or was volunteered—to untangle our largest Hoya australis. He probably thought it would be a quick little plant chore. Bless his heart. 🤣

What he actually encountered was several miles of vines, countless knots and one extremely determined Hoya that appeared to be fighting back! At one point, it looked less like plant care and more like he had caught a giant leafy sea monster. 🌿🐙

After plenty of twisting, turning, lifting and questioning every decision that led him to this moment, the beast was finally untangled! Well… untangled enough that we’re calling it a success. 😂

This Hoya australis has officially earned the title of largest and most dramatic Hoya in the PlantAholx collection!
