Walnut entertainment center — final sanding and finish left, then it’s done. Built the whole thing from rough lumber, doors and shelving all hand-fit.

Sneak peek 👀 Water popped this walnut entertainment center to pull the natural color out before finishing. Still got sanding and finishing to go, but the grain is already showing why it was worth the extra step. More to come soon.

Congratulations to all the winners at the Pinch Reunion car show! Proud to have made the cherry plaques that were handed out today, it’s always an honor seeing my work be part of celebrating something the community loves. Great turnout, great cars, great day.

Big thank you to a family friend who gifted me a cabinet saw and a large jointer, this kind of support means a lot as the shop keeps growing. Right now I’m putting the finishing touches on an entertainment center build. I’m also reorganizing my lumber and slabs right now. After many hours and lessons learned with every new build, this one is done, and I’m genuinely sad to see it leave the shop. Forty two inch diameter church sign, maple logo pocketed and set into a solid walnut backing, three and a half inches thick throughout. This one turned out gorgeous. This build came in at one thousand dollars. If you’ve got a project in mind, let’s talk.

Walnut backing is coming together, cut the circle friday and pocketed a recess in it so the maple logo sits flush once it’s set in place. Small detail, but it’s what makes the final piece look seamless. Getting closer to delivery day.

The logo is cut and glued for a church sign commission. Walnut backing is underway this week, with delivery set for Monday. More progress shots to come.

A huge step forward for the shop. After a lot of assembly and setup, my new Avid CNC is officially up and running. I’m excited to start producing bigger, better, and more detailed projects. Thank you to everyone who’s supported my small business—there’s a lot more coming soon.

Also brought home this 2” cherry slab from Irion Lumber Company — 31” wide, 86” long, with a live edge and a natural void running down the middle that gives it a ton of character.

A slab this size would make a great coffee table, a desk, or a smaller dining/entry table — something where you want one continuous piece of wood to be the star instead of a bunch of boards glued together. The void could get filled with black or tinted epoxy to really make that line pop, or left as-is and stabilized with some bowties for a more rustic look.
