❤️BACK TO THE BEGINNING❤️
2nd Chance Homes was started because we believe everyone and everything deserves a 2nd Chance. Just like our Heavenly Father Jesus Christ gives us daily❤️ Only by his mercies and grace are we able to give back the way we do. He has never let our family go without. Fix and restore if you can rather than throw out, replace or buy new.
This was one of the first 3 homes in Iowa our business 2nd Chance Homes did after we clocked out of the 9-5 to follow what God was calling us to do. In Iowa we bought hoarded houses, almost condemned, and drug and bug ridden houses. The ones nobody wanted. We utilized resources like Habitat for Humanity, Flooring Company's around our area, thrift stores, garage sales and side of the road pickups. We believe everyone deserves something safe and nice to come home to. It really is in the little things. If you could see the smiles on theses families faces...the children running around finding their new rooms. Crying because they have never had a bed. Mammas holding in tears not believing they could afford such "Nice" homes. Why...we say. Why don't you deserve kindness and love and a nice home with a $450 Chandelier our company sourced for $30🥰
Why don't you deserve time from our company to come fix your home or get your home ready to sell or just fixed up and safe for your family?
YOU DO...YOU DESERVE IT.
Give back. Help others. Love others because our Jesus first loved us. We can't do everything but can do something❤️
Do everything in love.
1 Corinthians 16:14
This particular home was a hoarded/roach ridden/drug house ready to fall over filled with heartache and a struggling mamma and her 3 babies. This wasn't our first situation like this and don't expect it to be our last. Because we are blessed...our company was able to get her into a clean place and a few resources to get her the help she needed. Prayers are that Jesus found her and helped restore her love for herself so she could love again❤️
This one was one of the biggest one we have had to date. 1 other was bigger than this.
Huge hoard...4 of the largest dumpsters filled plus trucks. Drugs, weapons...you name it...WE PROBABLY FOUND IT😂 No bodies yet thankfully. Millions of roaches rained from the ceilings and walls as they were ripped down. 5 layers of ceiling in the kitchen. This one was gutted to the studs and the the entire layout inside was redone. Went from a worn out 2 Bed 1 Bath tired HOUSE to a 3 Bed 1 Bath beautiful HOME❤️
PRESENT...
It has been a little different here in the Charleston area as what we bought for $30,000 in Iowa...they want $400,000 here😅
but why we do and who we do it for remains the same❤️ We aren't rich but we are breathing. So that means God can still work.
We have had 3 homes here under our belt since moving to the Lowcountry. Nothing like back home though yet. Just what we call "Gma Houses" Just needing a little love and attention and cosmetic updating.
Thank you for reading our throw back to the beginning and why we started. Have a blessed day everyone🥰
