True Grit Repairs Community Update

What a week it has been.

We've faced rain delays, stress, equipment issues, long days, and the challenges that come with being short-staffed. But through it all, we kept moving forward.

This week alone, we were blessed to help four members of our community. We completed several tree jobs, helped a local family in need, and now we're preparing to give away free food to our community on June 24th.

As Father's Day is here, I want to take a moment to wish every father, grandfather, stepfather, and father figure a very Happy Father's Day. Thank you for the sacrifices you make that often go unseen.

I also want to share something personal.

Many people know me as the owner of True Grit Repairs, but not everyone knows my story.

This company wasn't built with investors, loans, or deep pockets. It was built from hard work, pain, determination, and faith. It started with my last paycheck, about $100 to my name, and a family depending on me. I took a chance and started building something that I hoped would one day allow me to give back to others.

The truth is, there was a time in my life when I wasn't the person I am today.

Drugs, alcohol, poor decisions, and a lack of direction controlled much of my life. For many years I didn't believe in God, and I certainly didn't believe I had a purpose.

But God had other plans.

I found faith. I found hope. I found a calling bigger than myself.

Today, True Grit Repairs isn't just about home repairs. It's about serving people. It's about helping neighbors. It's about proving that no matter where you've been, your story doesn't have to end there.

If you're struggling today, I want you to know that change is possible. You don't have to make a huge difference overnight. Sometimes changing one life, helping one person, or showing one act of kindness is enough to start something bigger.

As I look around today, I still feel a deep calling inside me. I know there is more work to do. I don't know exactly what that looks like yet, but I know God isn't finished with this mission.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." — Philippians 4:13

"Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up." — Galatians 6:9

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11

Looking ahead, our fireworks tent will be opening in July. We now have a location secured, and while that will temporarily slow down some of our regular operations, it's all part of a bigger plan to continue serving our community and creating opportunities to give back.

And don't forget:

My phone is always on. If you're struggling, need advice, need prayer, or just need someone to listen, don't hesitate to reach out.

God bless, and Happy Father's Day from all of us at True Grit Repairs.

Supplies gathered. For the pulled pork sandwiches.
I believe we have enough to do about 60 sandwiches that day maybe more.

🍽️ FREE COMMUNITY MEAL THIS WEDNESDAY 🍽️

Recently, we had a pulled pork event and decided to give away all of the leftovers to anyone who wanted a meal. What we didn't expect was how many people would show up. We quickly realized there were more people who wanted a plate than we had food available.

That didn't sit right with us.

So this Wednesday, we're firing up the smoker again—not for an event, not for a fundraiser, but simply to give back to our community.

We'll be serving FREE pulled pork meal boxes with chips and bottled water while supplies last. Our goal is to make distribution as easy as possible by setting everything up drive-thru style so people can pull up, grab a meal, and head on their way.

We're currently looking for a local business that would be willing to let us use their parking lot for a few hours to safely hand out meals. If you own a business or know someone who may be willing to help, please send us a message.

This is something we're doing because we saw a need and want to help where we can. No catch, no requirements—just food and neighbors helping neighbors.

Once we secure a location, we'll announce the time and address.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support what we're trying to do in our community. ❤️

We was asked to come cut this tree up to help an elderly man. All they needed was someone to cut it so they could haul it away and we did just that for them.

True Grit Repairs would like to announce that we will no longer be working with or supporting Ashley and Rene in any capacity moving forward.

At this time, we do not feel it is appropriate to discuss the details publicly. We believe that handling matters privately and respectfully is the best course of action for everyone involved.

We appreciate the support of our customers, friends, and community, and our focus will remain on serving our clients, supporting local charitable efforts, and continuing to grow True Grit Repairs.

Thank you for your understanding and respect for everyone's privacy.
