🎬 Behind the Scenes with Farrell Mechanical ☀️❄️

Today’s behind-the-scenes look highlights a severely clogged condensate drain.

Condensate drain clogs can develop when algae, sludge, dust, and other buildup accumulate inside the drain line, restricting the flow of water. In this case, the buildup was especially thick, so we used nitrogen to flush the line and restore proper drainage.

These clogs can happen at any time, but routine maintenance can help prevent buildup and reduce the chances of a drain backup.

We also recommend overflow safety switches as an added layer of protection. If a condensate drain backs up, an overflow switch can help shut the system down before water overflows the drain pan, preventing flooding and costly water damage.
