While these other so-called painters and paint contractors are sitting at home on a Sunday we're out here taking care of the people in the community with a professional job where you don't get over spray on the house or when you're painting the house you don't get overspray all over the shingles we believe in Perfection or at least close to it as we can get.

Coated half of the roof on top of one of the 120 foot tall concrete silos at Total Grain Marketing located here in Casey, Illinois. Had a couple leaks in the roof, so we patched the holes and then put on a couple coats of an amazing elastomeric coating then some non skid for the walk path.

At Imperial Coatings Unlimited, we believe that some projects are about much more than paint. They're about community, pride, and preserving the places where memories are made.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Casey, Illinois Lions Club for trusting us with the restoration of the pavilion at the Casey Public Park. It was truly an honor to be selected for this project and to help breathe new life into a structure that has served the community for so many years.

A special thank you goes out to Moe Wimbley, our primary contact throughout the project. Moe was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. His professionalism, communication, and dedication to seeing the project completed the right way made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Simply put, he's one of the good guys, and we greatly appreciated the opportunity to work alongside him.

We would also like to thank the City of Casey employees who went above and beyond to help make this project possible. They ensured we had access to water and electrical service throughout the project and were incredibly cooperative every step of the way.

An extra thank you is deserved for the tremendous effort they put into moving the picnic tables out of the pavilion before work began and then moving them all back in afterward. Those tables are no joke. They're heavy, and their willingness to jump in and help saved a tremendous amount of time and effort. Their teamwork and positive attitude did not go unnoticed.

Today, the pavilion has a bright, clean, refreshed appearance that we believe will serve the community well for years to come. We hope the Casey Lions Club, the City of Casey, and the citizens of Casey enjoy the renewed look of this beautiful gathering place. Whether it's family reunions, community events, cookouts, or simply spending time with friends, we're proud to have played a small part in preserving a place where memories are made.

As a U.S. Army Veteran, and on behalf of our foreman who is also a U.S. Army Veteran, we were truly honored when Scotty Adams and the Town of Westfield entrusted Imperial Coatings Unlimited with the opportunity to help restore and preserve the Veterans Memorial in Westfield, Illinois.

Projects like this mean a great deal to us. Being able to contribute to a monument dedicated to the men and women who have served our nation is both a privilege and a responsibility that we take very seriously.

The restoration began with a careful power washing of the memorial to remove years of dirt, weathering, and loose material while ensuring that the existing lettering and details remained unharmed. Once the surface was properly prepared, we applied two coats of Sherwin-Williams Loxon XP, a premium masonry coating specifically designed to protect and preserve concrete surfaces from the elements. Our goal was not only to improve the appearance of the memorial but also to help protect it for years to come.

The eagle presented a unique challenge. A section of the inner wing, measuring approximately six inches, had been lost to damage over time. The eagle was carefully removed, the missing area was sculpted and rebuilt, and the entire surface was then cleaned and prepared for refinishing.

To restore the eagle, we applied three coats of Sherwin-Williams Crescent Bronze Metallic Coating in Celtic Gold. In nearly 30 years of painting, we have seen countless products marketed as "gold," but this finish genuinely delivers the appearance of cast gold. The transformation was remarkable and brought new life to one of the memorial's most iconic features.

To help ensure long-term durability, the eagle was then protected with multiple coats of a high-gloss UV-resistant clear finish designed to preserve its beauty against weather and sunlight.

While we are proud of the craftsmanship that went into this project, our greatest hope is that the finished memorial serves as a fitting tribute to the veterans it honors. We are grateful to Scotty Adams and the Town of Westfield for allowing us to play a small role in preserving an important piece of local history.
