Emptied the bedroom ,pulled the carpet and pad yesterday, cleaned all the staples and smutz from the carpet.
This morning installed new flooring. Bought and cut trim to fit.
Put the big stuff back in the bedroom.
Im ready for my vacation.

Simple job with a trap.

Set new toilet with bidet.

Need an electrician to run power for bidet and a few other projects in the house.

The toilet fl**ge was broken during prior toilet installation. Had to buy a repair ring.

Everything installed and working.

Scroll from the end to the beginning.

Bathroom remodel. Change out tubshower for a corner walk-in shower.

Subfloor was soft all the way thru. Replaced with new subfloor, moved shower drain and vent, replumbed with new shower handle and valves to shut off water to it. Replaced cpvc with pex and relocated pex run for shower handle. Leveled subfloor to keep edges looking good. Installed shower base, installed mold and mildew resistant drywall, mudded to level it all and repair other damaged drywall, primed with anti mildew paint. Installed shower walls, drain connections, shower valve trim, and caulked to prevent water leaks.

New floating floor installed with trim to cover edges. Reset toilet, water tested for leaks.

Second bathroom done.

End to beginning if ya scroll all the way thru.
Bathroom remodel, tubshower replaced with walkin shower and shower doors. Trimmed and finished.

Job included electrical repair, plumbing repair and moving of drain and vent. Change out and replumb relocate shower valve and pex run. Set shower base, drywall and mud like mad to makeup for uneven drywall.

Finished job looks like its been there all along. Just the way it should.

Don't look too bad for three days work.
730 to 1130am while it was cool enough to do anything.

Shower surrounds cut to fit, specialty cuts for walls that ain't entirely square.
Wall prepared per instructions, glue dabs every 4 to 6 inches.
Surround panels test fit, trimmed a last time and glued in place. A roller was used to guarantee the right adhesion.

Craig does that too.

Next: tape for caulking to keep pretty, install last of shower hardware, prepare and install shower doors. And this part of the project is done.

Demolition is well begun. Tub shower removed and disposed of.Still need to pull the toilet, carpet and open up the floor...

Tub shower removed and disposed of.

Still need to pull the toilet, carpet and open up the floor for its repairs.

Next is plumbing then wall work to assemble the new shower, followed by putting in new flooring and finish work.

That will be in the next post.

This is now a garage for a Can Am trike.
