A quick before & after on this McGregor lot.

Our client inherited a "let-go" yard and landscape from the previous owner. Overgrown beds, patchy grass, an irrigation system that wasn't fully functioning.

A young family wanted their kids to actually be able to use the space. So we started from the ground up: a new Zoysia lawn, a full low-maintenance landscape package, a fine-tuned irrigation system, and a new aluminum fence to close it in safely.

No more neglected yard. Just somewhere this family can create memories for years to come.

Swipe to see it come together.

Same backyard, two different directions.

Before we build anything, we model it - so clients can see how a space feels before committing to a design direction. Here, the question was simple: open seating area, or one with a pergola overhead?

This is what "visualizing before you build" actually looks like.

Early-stage concept for a large north Raleigh property. Wrap-around driveway, a retention pond to ease impervious surface limits, and everything else that goes into a full front-to-back design.

Some of this has already evolved since this draft. That's what the process is for.

Large projects in Wake County mean stormwater standards, elevated code requirements, and real permitting complexity. Having a team that can navigate all of it is what makes a project like this actually come together.

From string lines to somewhere you actually want to sit.

Concrete, pavers, rusted steel, boulders, slate chip. We used a bit of everything on this one, and that’s exactly why we loved it.

Good outdoor lighting isn't about making a space brighter. It's about making it feel right.

The goal is never to flood a space with light. It's to hold onto the warmth of sundown after the sun's gone. Even a pathway can become part of the experience, as pictured here.

A few well-placed fixtures, low and warm, do more for a space than a dozen bright ones ever could.

Quality landscapes don’t compete for attention. They create a sense of place.

Custom masonry work like this often serves a practical purpose, but the best installations do more than solve a problem: they contribute to the character of the landscape for years to come.

We’re looking forward to returning to this project for Phase 2, where planting will soften the stonework and complete the vision.

The best outdoor spaces engage all five senses.

This is one of our favorites.

We incorporated two decorative metal screens to create a sense of privacy around our client’s cold plunge, adding both function and an artistic focal element to the space.
