Day 1 of a 10 day drive. Driving 800+ miles over 3 days to Lake Placid New York. There we will spend 5 days at Porsche “Parade” a yearly gathering of the Porsche club. Approx 2500 people and 1600 Porsches have registered to the event. (It’s going to be a little nuts). While there we’ll be doing daily drives, gatherings and other activities. Thereafter, we’ll head back home (another 3 day drive and 800+ miles) via the Norman Rockwell Museum, then Northampton Massachusetts to visit our son and then another two days to drive home. I expect we’ll be driving a total of 2,000 or more miles over the next 10 days. If you’re a car guy, like me, this sounds wonderful. If you’re not a car guy, it probably sounds awful. Vroom vroom.
