We’re under construction!
DERN Architecture + Development is the Architect for the new VELUX Experience Center in Mountain View, California. The project is centered on well-being, lifestyle, and the measurable impact day lighting has on how we live and work.
This is more than a tenant improvement. It is a built environment demonstrating how VELUX skylights influence health, productivity, and daily experiences while supporting social and product sustainability. From concept through documentation and now into construction, our role has been to guide high-stakes decisions through a design+build delivery: aligning brand vision, technical performance, constructability, and schedule certainty within an active commercial setting.
The completed space will support VELUX with presentation spaces, a training academy for skylight installers, and a hands-on showcase of their skylight commercial and residential products - allowing architects, builders, and clients to experience the difference between simply adding light and designing for daylight.
