"My dad spent six weeks pumping out a broken sewage lift station while kids mocked him after a teacher told them, 'Stay in school, or you’ll end up like him.' What they didn’t realize was that without him, a major overflow would’ve caused a disaster. During that time, he earned $36,000, more than the teacher made in 30 weeks.
That experience taught me a valuable lesson: success doesn’t always look the way we expect. It doesn’t always wear a suit and sit behind a desk. Sometimes, it wears work boots, gets dirty, and does the tough jobs that keep the world running. We need to honor and respect every honest job, no matter how hard or humble it may seem."
