I just realized I had not introduced myself and thought we should get to know each other a bit more.

Hey y'all, I'm Brian but friends call me Nelly, and if you're here, I'd already call you a friend. Or you will be by the time we're done building you something that lasts.

Born with Ozark roots and livin' the Texas life right here in the San Antonio metro area, I've built a business around something I genuinely love and that’s creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces that turn a house into a home that actually works for the people living in it. Not off a shelf, not out of a box, and definitely not with a tiny Allen wrench and a prayer.

Custom furniture, kitchen tables, cabinetry for laundry rooms, mudrooms and closets, custom built-ins, military honor pieces, laser-engraved gifts. Every project gets the same care whether it's a custom retirement foot locker built to honor a veteran's career, a mudroom that finally tames the after-school chaos, or a laundry room that makes you feel like you actually have a handle on the never-ending piles. Big project or small, every single one matters.

When I'm not in the shop, I'm happily harassing my wife of 35 years. The woman who has somehow survived three and a half decades with me and still hasn't changed the locks. We have two incredible grown daughters who turned out way better than I could have ever imagined and one granddaughter. We also share our world with two Labs who have zero interest in being dogs when being rulers of the house is a perfectly good option, plus four granddogs who also seem to believe they are more human than canine. They all want the couch, they want your dinner, and they want all of it right now. Spoiled? Absolutely. Worth it? Every single day. Even when they're staring at me while I eat and looking away like they weren't the second I catch them.

This is TX-Hillbilly. It's not just a business; it's my craft, and the reason I genuinely look forward to every person I get to meet and every project I get to build. I'd love to build something for yours.

May 2026 be a year where clarity replaces noise,
where purpose outweighs pressure,
and where ex*****on matters more than excuses.

May you have the courage to ask hard questions of your organization, your systems, and yourself and the discipline to actually act on the answers.
May you lead people well, not just manage outcomes.

May you protect your teams from burnout while still holding the line on standards and accountability.

May you use data wisely, technology responsibly, and authority humbly.

As Romans 12:1–2 reminds us, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing, and perfect will.”

In a world that rewards speed over wisdom and familiarity over truth,
may this be the year you choose transformation over conformity in how you think, how you lead, and how you decide.

For those building businesses, teams, systems, or second acts
may this be the year you stop repeating what’s comfortable and start doing what’s necessary.

May your decisions be rooted in integrity, your strategies grounded in reality, and your success measured not just by growth, but by impact. And when the work gets heavy, as it always does, may you remember why you started, who you serve, and that leadership done right is always worth the cost.

Here’s to a year of renewed passions, minds, disciplined ex*****on, and courageous leadership.

Wishing you a strong, focused, and Blessed 2026......Brian
