The next generation of koi lovers is coming up strong!

Meet 15-year-old Elijah. Despite his young age, Elijah has already built several ponds and will soon be working with Anderson Pond Design.

One of the highlights of the Heartland Koi Classic was watching Elijah’s excitement as Mr. Taro Kodama personally hand-selected a group of koi for him to choose from. Moments like these are what make our hobby so special—passing along knowledge, passion, and appreciation for Nishikigoi to the next generation.

We can’t wait to see what Elijah accomplishes in the years ahead! 🐟💙
