This is a little before and after. The customer already has a pre-existing french drain installed. Over time, the production of said drain, has slowed down with its draining abilities. Instead of attempting to tap into a 20+ year old french drain with a catch basin extension, possibly adding debris into a working system, we chose to build a drainage creek. Everything is pitched and designed to run through the drainage system created. The water should no longer puddle and flood the back yard. Another issue the clients faced were their fur babies being master jedi mole hunters. The fence line was full of dug out holes from mole hunting techniques.
The flagstone walkways have about 9-11" trench dug underneath them with compacted gravel, encased inside a 6 oz non-woven geotextile fabric the for drainage ways. The fire pit area was the focal peice of the entire transformation and was intended as a luxury peice. We did try to include a stone fire pit, this design was kept like this for access reasons and the ability to move things if needed.
We maintain this property already with mowing and flowerbeds as it is. This will be a constant reminder of hard work and dedication everytime we see it. We thoroughly enjoy bringing a realistic appeal to your projects. Anyboby can lay some rock down to avoid erosion or provide a channel for water flow. We go above and beyond to create a scene for your visual appeal. If you have a vision or need a visual, give us a call. Let's see what we can put in the works for your property.

P.S. I have been granted permission and plan on gathering some live footage of the system in action with the rains coming in this weekend.

It's a great time to get some sod layed. By next spring your property will be glowing with fresh grass. You have been given the info, make the call.

The unfinished results. We still lack some cleanup and some detailed finishing touches. We were able to get the polymeric sand in today for the flagstone walkways and the fire pit. I will come back Thursday after everything has cured and set up, to do a final picture in totality.

Things don't always go as planned. Sometimes calculations end up being a little off. Was 2 wheel barrows short of Carolina Creek Rock and 1/4 ton of #8 gravel today. Really killed progression having to leave to get what was needed. 😡 (I felt like this guy all day)

Know what you're doing before trying to do it. Anything doesn't always do the job right. This project called for a special polymer joint compound and while it's expensive, we still hold true to doing it right the first time. 💪 Quality is better than quantity.

He smacked em in the mouth with it. Brian Rockformers you are the man. 🫡 This is my project and I have had a vision for this for months...this turned out to be everything I thought it would be when I reached out. IF the weather will hold off this weekend (prolly wont) this thing should be wrapped up. Thinking and hoping Monday at the latest.

We took a short day today to gather more materials and focus on some of the details of the dry creek. I'm sure it will be tweeked a little bit and that's just because I know how I am 😇 The vision has been set. This will probably be the last visual update I post until the finished product. Leave a little room to wonder. Tomorrow is a day of rest and reset for the body and mind. Enjoy your weekend everyone.
