1908 Portland Bungalow Restoration
Before&After
It takes an extreme amount of vision, skill, and confidence to take in a project like this, especially when the entire house was in this condition.

Catio from 2020.
Catios (patios for cats) are a big thing out in Portland, just like in-home tiki bars.

Mack is one happy cat!
Scroll through these photos to see the process of this outdoor Catio - built for 3 cats in a way that they could share this outdoor space comfortably with their humans.😄

3 generations of Almeters on the job.

2 years ago we moved back to Rochester to be with family - Covid changed everything.

Andrew feels so lucky to get to work with his family, often pulling his brother, Martin and his nephew, Benett onto a project. And sometimes relying on the sage wisdom of his retired father, Larry, who was a house-builder.

They are a family of extremely talented craftsmen who care not only about the job, but the people they interact with.

You know when you’re working with an Almeter because you’re going to be amazed by their craftsmanship, their problem solving skills, & their warm smiles, (and probably chuckles) and you’ll be able to relax while they’re working on your project.

Today’s outdoor inspiration:
The Grillzebo

This was a fun project to design and build. And even though many of our outdoor spaces were limited in , we found ways to make the most of them!

Floating Ipe Wood Bench | Stainless Steel Countertop from Schmeer Sheet Metal Works | Blue Metal Roof

One cool aspect about the construction of this design was that in order to NOT have any seams in the countertop, it had to be slid over the top of the 8’ posts.
Let’s just say it was very heavy from up on the ladder.
