Proof that great lighting can be added after the fact.
This built-in shelving unit already existed — the cabinetry, the shelves, all of it was built and installed. What you’re seeing here is a lighting retrofit, added after the fact to transform the whole piece.
💡 Vertical LED strip lighting — Low-voltage LED strips were mounted along the vertical edges of each cabinet opening, washing light evenly down and across the linen backing. No need to tear into the shelves or rebuild anything — the strips were added directly to the existing structure.
🔌 Clean, concealed wiring — Even as a retrofit, the wiring runs invisibly. No cords, transformers, or hardware in sight — just clean, even light.
⚡ Dimmable, low-heat LEDs — Cool-running LED strips that can be tied into a dimmer, so the space can go from bright display lighting to soft ambient glow.
This is a great example of what’s possible even in cabinetry that’s already built — you don’t need to start from scratch to completely change how a space looks and feels.
Have existing cabinetry, shelving, or built-ins that could use a lighting upgrade? Send us a message — we’d love to talk through it.
