Today's Sunday Safety Tip is all about ladders — ladders can be a very dangerous tool when working on your home. Here are a few tips that we practice at Schultz Roofing to keep us safe:
🔨 Always place a ladder on solid, stable ground. Try to avoid soft earth, rocks, or edges of pavement
🔨 Use leveling feet when necessary. Many ladders are available with leveling feet. If your ladder does not have them equipped, they are available aftermarket.
🔨 Use a ladder stabilizer. Also known as "bull horns" these invaluable accessories attach to most ladders and are a great tool for added safety
🔨 Rope off/Tie off. If possible, you may want to rope off your ladder to a solid structure to make it more stable.
🔨 Don't reach. Keep your body as close to the ladder width as possible. Over-extending and reaching can lead to falls.

Most homes are fitted with builder grade 5” gutters — in our region of Western North Carolina, this is insufficient. With more than 100 inches of rainfall per year, Transylvania county (and surrounding area) homes need more.

Call us today to discuss increasing your gutters to 6” or 8” for better rain shedding and water removal.

We live in the Land of Waterfalls, but this doesn’t mean they need to be from your roof.

After the early morning rain showers cleared out, we’ve a beautiful 2-day window to tackle the replacement of this gorgeous house in Arden/Mills River.
Clear skies and cool temps, it’s a great day to be a roofer.
We’re installing a 50-year CertainTeed Landmark Pro shingle in Charcoal Black.
